It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s you!
With Map Dive, you can skydive through the air as the Google Maps mascot Pegman, navigating a series of gates to land on famous monuments around the globe. Hit the target and you might just see fireworks, not to mention a few easter eggs along the way.
Instrument created the original Map Dive installation to run in 7 instances of Chrome for the Liquid Galaxy experience featured in the Google Maps Sandbox at I/O 2013. Here it is adapted it to a single browser experience for desktop.
The experiment features the Maps Javascript API v3 running in Chrome with technologies such as WebGL and CSS3.
